LISBON — One car was totalled and two others damaged in a rear-end collision on Route 196 in front of Pine Knolls on Friday night. No injuries were reported.
Lisbon police officer Dennis Matthews identified the drivers as Dawn Satin, 39, of Auburn, Cody Williams, 18, of Lisbon, and Roger Maheux, 84, of Lisbon.
According to Matthews, the three vehicles were traveling east when Maheux stopped to make a left turn into Pine Knolls to watch a light show. Williams stopped, but Satin, who was talking on her cellphone, was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. Her car hit the rear of Williams’ vehicle, pushing it into Maheux’s car, he said.
Satin’s 2001 Nissan was totalled in the 6:36 p.m. crash. Damage was estimated at $2,500 to Williams 2005 Volkswagen Jetta and at $500 to Maheux’s 2007 Nissan Sentra.
