AUBURN — Work repairing a slow water leak in a pipe at on Center Street will narrow traffic to one lane Thursday morning.
Auburn Water District Engineer Sid Hazelton said both lanes of Center Street will be reduced to one lane near the Oak Hill Road intersection for the duration of the work.
The work is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. until about 2 p.m.
In an email, Hazelton said the work is needed to fix a small leak on an individual home’s water line.
“It’s certainly not an emergency, but something that should be addressed,” Hazelton said in the email. “We anticipate it being a small, routine repair. Disrupting traffic on Rt. 4 is our biggest concern.”
Crews will have signs and cones on the road and Auburn Police officers will be on hand to help direct traffic.
