PARIS — A sex offender who didn’t submit his current employment information to the state was sentenced in Oxford County Superior Court on Tuesday and released due to time served.
Justiliano Sanchez, 31, who has been in custody at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn since his arrest on Dec. 18, pleaded guilty Tuesday. He was sentenced to one year with all but 60 days suspended and one year of probation. He was released from custody because he has been in jail more than 60 days.
Sanchez, who was from the midcoast area of Maine, was previously convicted of unlawful sexual contact and is a 10-year sex offender registrant with the state.
Assistant District Attorney Richard Beauchesne said Sanchez was in the process of moving to Norway and informed the police of his change of address. Detective Gary Hill of the Norway Police Department researched Sanchez’s record and found that his listed workplace was long out of date. Sanchez was arrested and couldn’t make bail.
