FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College has been evacuated after a bomb threat, according to an officer with the Fairfield Police Department.

The threat was reported to the Fairfield Police Department at 9:12 a.m. Tuesday. The officer said a bomb-sniffing dog was on its way to the college.

The Fairfield Fire Department and Maine State Police are assisting Fairfield police.

KVCC’s website says the campus is in an emergency situation.
