RUMFORD — Black Mountain of Maine’s Final Snowmobile Hill Climb will be held Saturday.
Gates open at noon, bib pickup and last-minute registration opens at 1 p.m. and the races start at 3 p.m., according to a news release.
The anticipated weather is mostly cloudy with a high temperature of 44 and a low of 31, according to the release.
The registration and release form can be found on the Rumford ski hill’s website at www.skiblackmountain.org. Racers can also preregister through PayPal there.
The Hill Climb registration cost is $15 for preregistered racers and $20 Saturday. There will also be a gate fee of $5 for anyone more than 5 years old.
Twenty-five percent of the gate and registration proceeds and a 50/50 raffle will be donated to Nate Clark.
Clark, 28, of Dixfield, suffered a spinal cord injury during the Jan. 11 hill climb race at Black Mountain. He broke four ribs, fractured his sternum and a vertebra when he flipped off the back of his sled as it traveled at more than 100 mph up the course.
