Students at Lewiston Middle School learn about their cultural heritage and diversity.
Lewiston Middle School eighth-grader Marlee Anderson, left, tells classmate Scott Venable the ingredients in Guten Tag, a popular German recipe she made for Friday morning’s cultural heritage presentation in the school library. Tricia Giard’s literature class was tasked with interviewing a family member, making a poster or creating a PowerPoint presentation on their cultural heritage, as well as sharing a related food item. Currently the students are studying the Holocaust, in part, to gain an appreciation for each other’s heritage.
