LIVERMORE — The Road Committee has finalized the summer work to be done to improve town roads.
Voters will consider raising $260,000 for the road program at the annual town meeting Wednesday, June 12.
The plan calls for a finish layer of asphalt on the section of Norlands Road that was paved last year.
“This will make that road complete and substantially longer lasting,” administrative assistant Kurt Schaub said.
The cost for the project is $70,830.
The South Road is set to be paved at a cost of $63,190.
Two problem culverts are scheduled to be replaced on upper River Road, south of Schoolhouse Road, he said. It is an effort to see if matching the fill material with the existing road base material will reduce heaving.
Three problem culverts on Gibbs Mill Road also are set to be replaced. Ditching and drainage improvements are scheduled on River Road, beginning at Center Road and moving south, Schaub said.
“The object is to prepare as much of River Road as possible for paving in a subsequent year,” he said.
Other projects include spreading cold mix on the upper portion of Waters Hill Road to make the surface smoother and grinding Bowles and Hahn roads and leave them gravel.
