The tour was given to Douglas Evans, fourth from left, of the National Park Service and Kate O’Brien, fifth from left, of Groundwork USA trust program. Lewiston and Auburn are competing with seven communities across the country for a Groundwork Trust designation. Groundworks USA helps create local organizations to make urban areas more usable and open for recreation. The group will visit locations such as Museum L-A, the Tree Street Youth Center, the Lewiston-Auburn Riverwalk and Simard/Payne Memorial Park.
