LIVERMORE FALLS — Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when they were hit by a car while walking along Route 17, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday. The driver also was injured, he said.

Grace Judd, 72, of Livermore Falls was listed in critical condition and her son, Henry, 43, was listed in fair condition Tuesday at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Both suffered severe injuries and were taken by Winthrop Emergency Services ambulance and a NorthStar EMS ambulance to the hospital, he said.

Robert Winner, 69, of Fayette, sustaineed minor injuries. He was driving a 1998 Subaru Legacy registered to Tami Winner of Fayette, Steward said.

The accident was reported at 2:06 p.m.

The details of the accident remained under investigation. Maine State Police Trooper Aaron Turcotte reconstructed the accident. A report is expected to be issued soon, Steward said.
