AUGUSTA — An Augusta martial arts instructor who has already pleaded guilty to child pornography charges is facing a dozen new charges after authorities analyzed his computer.

Wade Robert Hoover is accused in a new indictment of 12 counts of gross sexual assault on a boy between December 2008 and February 2010. Hoover was owner and chief instructor at Koshowarrior’s Martial Arts Academy in Lewiston.

A grand jury added the charges even as the 35-year-old Hoover awaits sentencing later this month in federal court. Hoover pleaded guilty Feb. 5 to production and possession of child pornography.

District Attorney Maeghan Maloney told the Kennebec Journal the boy connected to the new charges was 10 to 11 years old at the time and is not the same boy Hoover is charged with assaulting in Somerset County.

No attorney was listed for Hoover in the new indictment.
