AUBURN — Wayne Zimmerman has been named the new advancement director at Saint Dominic Academy. He will begin on July 1 and be responsible for overseeing and managing all development and institutional advancement activities at the school.
Zimmerman has decades of experience and success in development, relationship-building, operational management and planning and executing strategies in both the corporate and academic worlds.
He has been the director of advancement services at Bates College in Lewiston since 2008, when he was promoted from his role as associate director. During his time at Bates, Zimmerman oversaw the office that manages the database and designs the systems for the college’s fundraising efforts, setting up campaigns and monitoring key metrics to track progress.
Prior to his time at Bates, he excelled in the manufacturing field for nearly 30 years, including as manufacturing manager at Faithworks in Lewiston (2005-2007). He also holds an associate of applied science degree from the State University of New York at Alfred.
Zimmerman and his family reside in Turner and belong to St. Philip Church in Auburn.
