WILTON — Police are investigating a burglary and theft of antiques from a vacant home on More Acres Road that was reported Tuesday morning by family members.

Antiques taken include a desk-size, junior grandfather clock, a butter churn and a bureau, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said. The family is checking to see if other items are also missing.

Family members were at the home in East Dixfield on Sunday and everything was fine. They went in Tuesday morning, discovered the burglary and reported it to police at about 8:45 a.m., she said.

Police would not say how the burglar entered the home.

Wilton Police Officer Billie Martin is investigating.
