CHESTERVILLE — The owner of the Chesterville Mall is offering a monetary reward for any tips leading to the arrest of the person responsible for breaking into the store last week on Dutch Gap Road. The amount of the reward is not being disclosed.

A large amount of merchandise, including tobacco products, were taken from the convenience store/gas station, Maine State Police Trooper Keith Barton said Tuesday.

The burglary was reported Friday at 5:30 a.m. Entry was gained by force, he said.

Barton was assisted at the scene by Trooper Mathew Casavant and his police dog, Marcello, as well as evidence recovery technician Trooper Breanne Petrini.

Anyone who may know something about the break-in is asked to call Barton at 624-7076.
