DIXFIELD — The RSU 10 board has one new member and two vacancies following Tuesday’s elections.

In Buckfield, member Maida Demers-Dobson was defeated by newcomer Michelle Casey, 117-95.

In Rumford, Frank DiConzo must resign from the board, because he was elected selectman. Town Clerk Beth Bellgarde said several write-in candidates were on the ballot, but selectmen have not made any decisions on filling the seat.

Hanover board member Dan Force resigned with two years remaining in his term. A spokesman for the town clerk said selectmen will soon choose someone to take his place.

Mexico incumbent Bertha “Betty” Barrett ran unopposed for another three-year term. She received 384 votes.

In Dixfield, incumbent Bruce Ross also ran unopposed and was re-elected.

And in Sumner, incumbent John Phillips’ term is up at the annual town meeting in August.
