NEW GLOUCESTER — Brock Brian Thompson, 32, of New Gloucester, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, while riding an ATV, which was one of his favorite pastimes.

Brock was born in Lewiston on Oct. 2, 1980, to Brian and Lynn Thompson of Gray. He graduated Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1999. On Oct. 7, 2000, he married his loving wife, DeAnn Jacobs of Brunswick.

He was employed by K.C. Hamilton & Sons of Gray and Thompson’s Orchards, his family’s business.

Brock lived life to its fullest. He was always willing to help anyone and would give you the shirt off his back. Once his friend, you were his friend for life.

Brock’s smile and laugh were beautiful and contagious. He was fun and the biggest kid of all. He was a daredevil and stood up for what he believed in, a trait passed on to his daughter, Layne. His caring and sensitivity will be carried on by his daughter, Haylee, and his sense of humor will forever be seen in his son, Xander. Together with family and friends, he was embarking on his dream of building a home for his family.

Brock is survived by his wife, DeAnn; daughters; Layne and Haylee; son, Xander; parents, Brian and Lynn Thompson of Gray; sister, Devan McKay and her husband, Ben, of Auburn; grandmothers, Lucille Hartwell and Donna Thompson; his uncle, Michael Thompson; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
