PORTLAND (AP) — The Maine Department of Environmental Protection says ground-level ozone is expected to reach unhealthy levels in parts of the state.

Environmental officials said problems are expected on the southwest coast and mid coast on Wednesday and will continue for the entire coastline Thursday.

Officials said all people — especially those with respiratory disease — should avoid exerting themselves outside, especially during the hottest time of the day.
