AUBURN – On Oct. 4, Skelton, Taintor & Abbott attorney Rebecca S. Webber will give a presentation to the Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce titled Ten Tips to Avoiding the Commission, Courts and Claims. She will address issues in human resources for both small and large businesses.
Webber has more than 20 years of experience representing individuals, businesses and government agencies in employment law and civil litigation. She handles employment claims in both state and federal court, before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other state and federal agencies and tribunals.
Webber’s presentation will focus on 10 crucial points and how companies can reduce the risk of claims, commission actions and litigation. The discussion will include harassment policies, wage-and-hour issues, religious accommodation and personnel files.
