BUCKFIELD — The Board of Selectmen accepted with regret the resignation of Selectman Cheryl Coffman from the RSU 10 Withdrawal Committee on Saturday.  

The replacement has to be a selectman, board Chairman Warren Wright said.

“My term as selectman is up on June 30 and I plan to retire, so I can’t serve,” he said. “This leaves only Selectman Martha Catevenis.”

Catevenis said she would serve. The appointment will be made official at the board’s Feb. 4 meeting.

Th board also signed the final loan papers for the fire station with Norway Savings Bank for $1 million.

The board held a personnel policy workshop for three hours Saturday morning before the selectmen met for business. They plan to continue this workshop after their regular meeting on Feb. 4.
