Mechanics Savings Bank recently donated $2,500 to Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services of Lewiston. The funds will be used to support the nonprofit’s only major fundraising event: Maine’s Got Talent. The event will be held at the Ramada Conference Center in Lewiston, Saturday, March 8, at 7 p.m. For the donation presentation were, from left, Charlene O’Clair, Sandcastle’s director of finance; Stephanie Gelinas, Sandcastle’s executive director; Mona Leavitt of Mechanics Saving Bank, who is also a Sandcastle board member, chair of the Fundraising Committee and member of the Finance Subcommittee; and Robert Baskett, Sandcastle’s director of operations. Sandcastle provides services for children with special needs and those at risk of developmental issues. Mechanics Savings Bank has branches in Auburn, Brunswick, Lewiston and Windham.
