LEWISTON — The Great Falls Buying Club will host a Spring Farm Dinner and Information Session featuring an assortment of fresh Maine foods from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12.

The event will be held at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St. It is open to all who are interested in learning more about the club, which asks for a $5 donation for the meal. Attendees over 50 dine free.

The buying club purchases Maine-sourced food and household products in bulk quantities, generally for lower-than-retail prices. It is made up of individuals and families who like to purchase good quality local food at reasonable prices and work together with their neighbors and friends to do so.

The club is sponsored by the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center. Activities are made possible by funding from the AARP Foundation and support from the Western Mountains Alliance.
