Blacksmith meeting
WILTON — The Western Maine Blacksmith’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Wilton Historical Society building. There will be discussion of upcoming events and new projects.
The open forge nights will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Friday, Sept. 8 and 18, at the Farmington Fairgrounds blacksmith shop. Visitors are welcome. A program on making leaves is planned. There will be time for discussions on topics that the members choose.
Ministry sets sale
FARMINGTON — The Rural Community Action Ministry, 81 Church Hill Road, will hold its “Somewhat Annual” Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, and it is looking for donations.
Donations will be limited to items in good, clean, workable condition such as books, knick-knacks, dishes, glassware, sporting goods, small kitchen appliances and small furniture.

March for babies
FARMINGTON — A March of Dimes – March for Babies will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Elks Lodge, 2430 School St. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the march will start at 9. Sign up to have a team. Businesses, families, neighborhoods, clubs and organizations have teams. Individuals can join the march too.
