GREENWOOD — Attorney Martha McLean of Greenwood was admitted to the Maine Bar in a swearing-in ceremony May 16 at the Cumberland County Courthouse in Portland.
She will join Hanley and Associates at its office in South Paris, but will also be available in their Bethel office by appointment. Her practice will include trusts and estates, elder law and family law cases. She will also take on other matters on a case-by-case basis. She will begin taking clients in September.
McLean earned her juris doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. While in law school, she worked at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in Portland, where she represented underprivileged clients who were unable to afford legal representation.
Before going to law school, McLean held a teaching position for 12 years at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
