LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a free Brown Bag Discussion titled Preventing Workplace Violence on Sept. 16.

The event is from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the chamber office, 415 Lisbon St. Quentin Chapman of Corporate Intelligence will lead the timely and potentially life-saving discussion.

Topics for discussion will include:

* Are we doing enough in our businesses and schools?

* Are we creating or updating policies and procedures to include how to respond to an active shooter?

* Would you know what to do today if you were confronted?
