LEWISTON — Construction on the Alfred Plourde Parkway will stop traffic during overnight hours for two nights.

Beginning Wednesday evening, April 1, crews will stop traffic in both directions for 25-minute periods. Crews will be removing structural steel on the Maine Turnpike southbound overpass bridge. The stoppages are scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday, April 6, is a backup date in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists should prepare for delays or seek alternative routes during the work.
