Traffic delays in Lisbon week of April 6
LISBON — Lisbon schools Superintendent Richard Green announced there will be two major deliveries that will impact traffic flow on Route 196 on Tuesday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 8. The deliveries will be made between 8 and 9 a.m. each day.
Any questions regarding the impact of deliveries may be directed to the superintendent’s office at 353-6711.
La Leche League meeting April 9
AUBURN — The La Leche League offers breastfeeding information and encouragement to pregnant women, new mothers and growing families. Services include monthly meetings and 24 hour telephone help.
All interested women are invited to attend a meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.
All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion, in addition to the scheduled topic “ Breastfeeding, the Mother- Baby Relationship, and the Weaning Process.”
The discussion will include nutrition for nursing mothers, introducing solids to baby, and the weaning breastfed baby.

Golden Age Club meeting April 14
AUBURN — The Immaculate Heart of Mary Golden Age Club monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, April 14, at Sacred Heart Church.
Social hour will be 11 a.m. to noon, with lunch, and will be followed by a short meeting. Call 576-4082 to make a reservation.
New members and guests are all welcome.
Topsham library to celebrate ‘Library Week’
TOPSHAM —The Topsham Public Library will celebrate National Library Week from April 14 to 18. This year’s theme is “Unlimited possibilities @ your library.”
Visit the library and take part in a collaborative art project to show what your library means to you.
There will also be a “tech petting zoo” all week, courtesy of the Maine State Library. People are encouraged to try a variety of devices at no charge.
The library will also host Big Truck Day from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, April 24, rain or shine.
The Topsham Public Library is located at 25 Foreside Road.
All programs are free to attend and open to the public.

Bowdoin Fire Dept. garage sale
BOWDOIN — The Bowdoin Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary will hold its annual garage sale, bake sale and raffle from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday April 25, at the fire department garage on Cornish Drive, off of Main Street in Bowdoin (next to the town office).
Table rentals are $10 and can be reserved by calling 666-5974 or 666-5752.
Raffle tickets for prizes will be for sale at this event and the drawing will be at 2 p.m. Winners need not be present to win.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Bowdoin Volunteer Fire Department and the community.
