DIXFIELD — Updates on the Public Works Department vacancy and the stairs of the Ludden Memorial Library are on the agenda for Monday evening’s Board of Selectmen meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Ludden Memorial Library.

Town Manager Carlo Puiia said that Public Works Director Calvin Beaumier submitted his resignation after accepting another position in another community.

Puiia said that the town will advertise for a new director, and will likely form a committee to review applicants.

In other business, selectmen will hear an update on the Ludden Memorial Library’s efforts to repair the stairs in front of their building.

Librarian Peggy Malley said at a Dixfield budget meeting that the library had already set aside money for the repairs, but was having difficulties finding a company to place a bid on the project.
