LEWISTON — Sasseville Chiropractic Wellness Center, 513 Sabattus St., announces that Dr. Nia Megquier has joined the practice.

Megquier grew up in Bar Harbor and graduated as an honor student from Mount Desert Island High School in 2006. She graduated cum laude from University of New England in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in medical biology. She attended Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Mo. As a student intern, she treated the surrounding community, as well as the homeless, underprivileged and recovering drug/alcohol addicts in the St. Louis community. She graduated with a second bachelor’s degree in life science as well as her doctorate of chiropractic degree in December of 2013.

Megquier utilizes manual diversified adjusting, flexion-distraction, Thompson technique, activator methods, and is also certified in both Graston techniques and applied kinesiology. She has a special interest in soft tissue work, including trigger point therapy, Nimmo and post isometric relaxation. She is currently working on becoming certified in acupuncture in the state of Maine.
