1926 – 2015

LISBON — Marcel P. Perron, 88, passed away Sunday, July 5, after a long and fulfilling life. He spent his final days surrounded by family, who will miss him dearly.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 9, 1926, to Arthur and Marie-Ange Perron. Marie-Ange passed away early on in Marcel’s life and he was raised by Arthur and his stepmother, Blanche Perron. Marcel was married to his wife, Leona Perron, for more than 60 years. The two were married Aug. 27, 1949. Together, they raised two children, David and Linda.

Marcel was self-employed, owning his own company, MP Sales, in which he specialized in the wholesale of toys and novelties across the state of Maine. Marcel was a man of great integrity and one who always put his family first. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were blessed to have him and his devotion to their families in their lives.

Marcel was a very friendly man, and had a wonderful sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He had the ability to make a friend in whatever path he crossed; the Monday breakfast club at the chiropractor’s office was one of the highlights of his week.

Marcel is survived by his son, David Perron and wife, Faith, of Lisbon; his daughter, Linda Paradis; his granddaughter, Carly Conley and her husband, Martin, and daughters, Madison and Kennady, of Lewiston; his granddaughter, Alisa Saucier and her husband, Jeffrey, and children, Cole and Miles, of Sabattus; his grandson, Samuel Paradis of Auburn; his grandson, Justin Perron and his wife, Kasey, and daughters, Hayleigh and Hannah, of Lisbon Falls; his granddaughter, Amber Perron, and son, Kelvin, of Lisbon; his grandson, Caleb Perron of Lisbon; his brother, Normand Perron of Lewiston; his brother, Claude Perron of Lewiston; and his sister, Liane Charest of Lewiston.

Marcel is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Leona Perron; siblings, Ronnie and Paul Perron, and Doraine Pomerleau.

Marcel was very loved and will be missed by the many that were blessed enough to have known and loved him during his lifetime. Marcel commonly used one particular phrase when saying goodbye to family, and it seems fitting to end in this fashion. Marcel, we’ll “see you in church!”
