Oxford County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the deaths of four young people found in a Byron home, Sheriff Wayne Gallant confirmed late Friday night.

Gallant said it was too early to reveal the causes of death.

“We have four people up there that are deceased and we are looking at the causes,” he said. “We don’t know if it’s carbon monoxide, or whatever.”

According to police scanner traffic, the deceased were two males and two females. Gallant could not confirm that, but he said they were young.

“At first, reports said they were kids,” he said. “But they are all young people, in their 20s.”
