CASCO (AP) — Officials say the 28-year-old motorist who caused a crash that killed a 4-year-old passenger and seriously injured the boy’s mother never held a driver’s license.
The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/1gz4k5F ) reported that Michael Minson was running late for his job at Dunkin’ Donuts in Naples when lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a utility pole Tuesday on Route 11 in Casco.
Investigators believe Minson was behind the wheel.
A spokeswoman for the secretary of state told the newspaper that a search of Minson’s driving history turned up no license in Maine or another state. Minson did apply for and receive a state identification card this summer.
The Associated Press couldn’t find a phone number to reach Minson.
