BUCKFIELD — Jon Randolph tied a school record with a pair of goals Tuesday to lift Buckfield to a 4-3 win over Sacopee Valley.
Randolph now has 56 career goals at Buckfield. He tied Aaron Dewitt, who set the record and graduated in 2010. Randolph now has seven goals in three games for the Bucks and will have the chance at the record Thursday at Rangeley. The senior had 21 goals in each of the last two seasons.
Dylan Harvey and Ethan Jackson also tallied for the Bucks (3-0) to complete the scoring. Mike Murphy led the Hawks (1-2) with a pair of goals, while Deven Day also tallied.
Jake Kraske made nine saves for Buckfield, while Cameron Cry deflected 18 shots for Sacopee Valley.
Cape Elizabeth 7, Poland 1
POLAND — James Bottomley and Nicolai Sabbatini each netted a pair of goals to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 7-1 romp over Poland in a WMC boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.
Matt Concannon, Jacob Allen and Ben Carroll also tallied for the Capers (3-1) to complete the scoring.
Kyle Radziszewski tallied the lone goal for Poland (1-2) on a through ball from Tom Flint.
Sean Agrondia needed only one save for Cape Elizabeth, while Trevor Saunders turned aside seven shots between the posts for Poland.
Field hockey
Lewiston 4, Bangor 3
LEWISTON — Ashlynn Belanger converted a pass from Mya Latourneau at the 23:50 mark of the second half to give Lewiston its first victory of the season, 4-3, over Bangor in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.
Kasey Talarico led the Blue Devils (1-5) with two goals, while Jazlyn Dumas and Ashlynn Belanger also tallied. Kaylah Dyer, Kes Lavoie and Grace Perron all scored goals for the winless Rams (0-5).
Kaylyn Labonte made 20 saves for Lewiston, while Mikayla Hutchinson turned aside 20 shots between the posts for Bangor.
Edward Little 1, Brewer 0
BREWER — Oceanna Chamberlin scored the game-winning goal on an assist by Kaylie Vallee and goalie Karli Stubbs made 12 saves in net as the Red Eddies held on for a 1-0 win over Brewer in a field hockey game Tuesday.
The Eddies (5-0) were outshot by Brewer 12-9.

Lisbon 2, Dirigo 0
LISBON — Deliah Schrieber netted a pair of goals in the first half Monday as Lisbon rolled to a 2-0 win over Dirigo in MVC girls’ soccer action.
Kipri Steele and Emma Houle also contributed for the Greyhounds (1-2) with assists.
Alexandra Sult needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while Mariah Lafleur deflected 15 shots for the Cougars (0-3).
Gardiner 0, Leavitt 0 (2OT)
TURNER — Despite outshooting their opponents 14-3, Leavitt couldn’t quite find the net Tuesday and had to settle for a 0-0 deadlock against Gardiner in a KVAC girls’ soccer matchup.
The Hornets’ best chance to score was foiled when Tabytha Embree stopped a penalty kick in overtime. Embree finished with 11 saves for the Bulldogs, while Angela Daigle turned aside two shots for Leavitt.
Monmouth 8, Boothbay 0
MONMOUTH — Senior forward Sidney Wilson scored a hat trick as Monmouth galloped to an 8-0 shutout victory over Boothbay in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Monmouth was sharp on defense, limiting the Seahawks (1-3) to just four shots in the game.
The Mustangs (3-0) led 5-3 at the half. Sammy Grandahl contributed a goal and two assists for Monmouth.
Goalie Jamie Wheeler made 16 saves for the Boothbay, while goalie Mikayla Cameron made four stops for Monmouth.
Cape Elizabeth 2, Poland 0
CAPE ELIZABETH — Senior striker Kate Breed notched the game-opening goal as Cape Elizabeth extracted a 2-0
victory over Poland in WMC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Prevli Piscopo furnished the Caper’s (3-1) second goal as Cape Elizabeth took a 2-0 lead into intermission.
Goalie Erin Brewer fended off 16 shots for the Knights (1-3), while goalie Tesa Goldstein made three saves to earn the win in net for Cape Elizabeth.

Bowdoin 5, Bates 0
LEWISTON — The No. 2 nationally ranked Bowdoin field hockey team turned a 1-0 lead at halftime into a 4-0 advantage seven minutes into the second half, defeating Bates College 5-0 in a NESCAC game Tuesday night.
The Polar Bears (3-0, 2-0 NESCAC) received three goals from Rachel Kennedy and two from Kimmy Ganong in the tidy victory. Bowdoin outshot Bates by a 26-3 margin and collected 12 penalty corners to Bates’ two.
Kennedy scored her team-high fourth goal of the season in the sixth minute, banging in a shot on their third penalty corner in the early going, from an assist by Kelsey Mullaney. It was all the scoring Bowdoin would need, but Bates managed two penalty corners and two shots before halftime, while senior goalie Cristina Vega’s four saves in the period kept the deficit at one.
