BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 will exhibit the work of Cami Davis now through Oct. 9.

A wine and cheese reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.

Davis studied art at Colby College, the University of Southern Maine, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, River Tree Arts and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. She is an active member of the Maine Art Education Association and has offered workshops in bookmaking, papermaking and monotypes.

Davis makes art that is inspired by the natural world. Her subjects include the coasts and shores, the woods and meadows of Maine. Many of her pieces begin from sketches executed on location but are further developed in her studio. The layering of marks, bold colors and abstract images occurs not only in her pastels, but in her monotypes and encaustics.

Davis’ work can be viewed weekdays from noon to 5 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gallery 302 is an artist cooperative featuring paintings, original prints, pottery, fiber, photography, wood and jewelry.
