BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center is presenting Pretty Girls Sing Soprano in their debut concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. The group, whose harmonies wowed audiences at the spring talent showcase, recently finished second in the 2015 Maine’s Got Talent Competition. They perform a variety of songs, from bluegrass, folk and traditional to country and rock ‘n’ roll.
“Audiences were on their feet cheering for more after the Pretty Girls Sing Soprano performed at our Hot Chocolate Jubilee,” said Jennifer DeChant, Chocolate Church Arts Center executive director. “Their beautiful acoustic harmonies filled the auditorium. We are pleased to showcase their talent in a full-length concert.”
Since their inception, Pretty Girls Sing Soprano have quickly turned heads and gained a loyal following with their tight, clever and original harmonies. Ingrid Ayer-Richardson, Susan Mathews and Shelly Kirkpatrick have combined voices to share their love of acoustic and a cappella music. Latest additions to the group, Dan Beller Mckenna on the pedal steel and Julie Rothrock on percussion, add musical depth and the perfect underscore to the three wonderful voices.
Ticket are $12 in advance, $15 at the door and are available by calling the box office at 207-442-8455, or purchased online at: www.chocolatechurcharts.org. The Chocolate Church Arts Center is located at 804 Washington St., Bath.
