1932 – 2015

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KAN. — Robert A. Roberge Sr., 83, of Prairie Village, Kan., passed away Thursday, Sept. 17.

Bob was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Lewiston, where he graduated from St. Dominic High School before joining the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean War and attended Central Missouri State College while stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Warrensburg, Mo.

It was there he met his wife of 57 years, Betty Houx Roberge. For most of his professional career he was a manufacturer’s sales representative based in Kansas City, and during his semi-retirement he was an associate of Muehlebach Funeral Home. He was executive director of the St. Louis Society for the Blind and actively involved in the War on Poverty.

He was a member of the VFW Post No. 846, American Legion Post No. 370, and Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.

Surviving are his son, Robert Roberge Jr. of Prairie Village, Kan.; daughter, Libby Roberge-Polyviou and son-in-law, Michael Polyviou of Red Bank, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Perri Polyviou, Peter Polyviou and Madison Roberge.
