1940 – 2015

LEWISTON — David M. Brackett, 75, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

He was born in Farmington on March 17, 1940, the son of Myron and Isabel (MacKenzie) Brackett. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1957. In 1957, he joined the National Guard, proudly serving until he was honorably discharged in 1961 due to a family hardship. In September 1960, he married Doris Judd. She passed away Jan. 26, 1973. He later married Eloise (Grant) Nichols on Dec. 21, 1993. She passed away on Oct. 8, 2015.

David worked as a meat cutter for the Armour Meats Processing plants in Lewiston and Portland and had also worked as a truck driver for Kayam Foods out of Massachusetts.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lauze, and her husband, Marcel, of Lewiston; and his son David A. Brackett of Monmouth.

He was predeceased by his parents, Myron and Isabel Brackett; and wives, Doris Brackett and Eloise S. Nichols Brackett.
