RUMFORD — The Police Department responded to 93 calls for service in the past week, including:
* April 23, 12:30 a.m.: A Waldo Street resident returned home to find an apartment window broken. Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating.
* April 22, 4:31 p.m.: Keith Provencher, 33, of Rumford, was arrested on Cumberland Street on a charge of refusing to submit to arrest/detention and violation of conditions of release. Ineligible for bail, he was transported to the Oxford Count Jail. He is to appear in court June 13.
* April 22, 11:15 a.m.: Officer assisted Jay police in finding a Rumford resident suspected in a fraudulent check case. Charles Gannon, 23, of Rumford was arrested by Jay police on felony charges of aggravated forgery and theft by deception.
* April 21, 3:15 p.m.: A Knox Street resident reported he left his wallet at a local business and when he retried it cash was missing. Patrolman Brad Gallant is investigating.
* April 21, 2:53 p.m.: A Waldo Street business reported a shoplifting incident. Patrolman Lawrence Winson responded. A 17-year-old Mexico female and a 15-year-old Dixfield female were each summoned on a charge of theft. They are scheduled to appear in the Rumford court on July 27.
* April 20, 6:56 p.m.: Beth Bailey, 37, of Dixfield was arrested by Officer James McLamb on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. She was transported to the Oxford County Jail.
* April 20, 6:20 p.m.: An Urquhart Street resident reported the theft of prescription medications. Patrolman McLamb is investigating.
