LEWISTON —­­ A Bates College student organization will present a fireworks display over the college’s Lake Andrews on Saturday, May 14, starting at 9 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the show.

The sponsoring student group, Sangai Asia, promotes Asian and Asian­-American awareness, identity and fellowship among students at Bates and the larger community. The group sponsors a fireworks show near the end of every academic year.

In the event of rain, the show will take place Saturday, May 21.
