LOVELL — The Lovell Arts and Artisans Fair, benefiting the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, will celebrate its 41st year this August. Each year, new artists are sought to join more than 40 returning exhibitors.
All interested artisans must submit physical work by 7 p.m. on June 6. Please contact [email protected] to let them know you plan to send your art. Items to be juried may be left at or sent to: Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, PO Box 105, Lovell, Maine, 04051. The library is open on Monday, 9 a.m .to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is closed on Tuesday and Sunday.
Entries must include three to five pieces, fully representing the artist’s work as well a note about materials, process and technique. An idea of selling price is also helpful.
Artwork will be juried on June 7. Results of the judging are promptly sent by mail and decisions are final. It will be the artisan’s responsibility to pick up the submitted items after the jurying, or cover mailing costs if they are to be returned by mail.
Upon acceptance, a $30 reservation fee is due. On the day of the fair, exhibitors donate 15 percent of their gross sales to benefit the Charlotte Hobbs Library.
