FARMINGTON — A local man is charged with burglary and theft of a prescription medication from a home on Owen Mann Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Travis Lambert, 26, was arrested by Farmington Detective Darin Gilbert and taken to Franklin County Detention Center, Deputy Chief Shane Cote said.

Lambert was released on $1,000 cash bail Monday, according to a detention center officer.

Cote said the homeowner discovered a kicked-in door, drove down the road and saw a man walking and acting suspicious. The homeowner later saw the man drive back and forth on the nearby Town Farm Road and pick up someone who walked out of the woods. The two continued to drive back and forth but left before Lambert came out of the woods, Cote said.

The homeowner alerted police, who arrested Lambert.
