NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine (AP) — Authorities say a woman apparently drowned after going overboard from a 14-foot motorboat in the Kennebec river.

The Maine Warden Service has identified the woman as 53-year-old Barbara York of Waterville.

The service says the woman and a man were in the boat when she went overboard Thursday near Oosoola Park in Norridgewock. The man appears to be OK.
