PARIS — My Tempered Soul is hosting a benefit rock concert on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Four Seasons Function Center, 187 Main St., South Paris. All profits will go to the Wounded Heroes Program of Maine. This event is open to all ages and donations will be collected at the door. Artists performing include Arta’sin, Brand New Day, My Tempered Soul, Not Yet Lost and Interloc.
Lead singer for My Tempered Soul, Ritchie Dan, is a 20-year combat veteran
with the Army Reserves.  He was deployed to Iraq in 2004.  Upon returning
home he was diagnosed with PTSD.  In March of 2006 his brother, Sgt. Corey A. Dan, was killed in Iraq. His loss had a traumatic impact.  However, with help from
programs like the Wounded Heroes of Maine, Ritchie Dan was able to overcome his wounds. For him, this is a way to give back.
