LEWISTON — Sean Stanhope, D.O., a specialist in rheumatology, has joined Androscoggin Rheumatology Associates, a Central Maine Medical Group health care practice based in Lewiston.

Stanhope enrolled at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007 and received his doctorate in osteopathic medicine in 2011. He subsequently focused on internal medicine and rheumatology, completing a residency and fellowship at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Rheumatology.
