AUGUSTA (WGME) — Augusta Police have charged the mother of a child who was the subject of an Amber Alert last week.

Police charged 40-year-old Karen Lea with endangering welfare of a child.

Police say 3-year-old Lenore Wilson was missing for almost 12 hours on Oct. 4 after police say her mother, Lea, suffered a “drug related emergency.”

Lenore was eventually brought to the police station by an unknown man.
