PITTSTON (AP) — Authorities say a Farmingdale man has died after a motorcycle he was riding as part of a procession for a slain father crashed on state Route 27 in Pittston.
The Kennebec Journal reported (http://bit.ly/2fwHU5f ) Kennebec County Sheriff Ryan Reardon says Christopher Graham was riding the bike Saturday afternoon in the procession to honor Antonio Balcer.
Authorities say Graham’s motorcycle hit the back of a truck. He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
Authorities say Antonio Balcer and his wife, Alice, were killed in their Winthrop home on Oct. 31. Their son, 17-year-old Andrew Balcer, faces murder charges in their deaths.
Sergeant Galen Estes wrote in a report that Graham and Antonio Balcer belonged to the same motorcycle club. About 50 members participated in the procession.
