York specialty food producer Stonewall Kitchen announced Friday it is recalling limited numbers of pancake and waffle mixes after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found traces of salmonella at the manufacturer facility of the powdered milk ingredient.
No pathogenic bacteria were found in the powdered products supplied to Stonewall Kitchen, nor in any of its Stonewall Kitchen pancake and waffle mixes, but the company opted to undertake a voluntary recall of the lots that came from the ingredient supplier “out of an abundance of caution,” Stonewall Kitchen wrote in a media statement.
