LEWISTON — The State Fire Marshal’s Office on Thursday was investigating the death of a man at his home in Turner.
The body of 52-year-old Craig Gordon was discovered in a camper-trailer parked beside the garage at the home on Turkey Lane on Thursday morning, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
The camper was being heated by two kerosene heaters. Investigators are looking into whether one of them malfunctioned, sending thick smoke and soot into the camper.
There was no fire, McCausland wrote in a press release.
Gordon’s body was discovered by his father, Stanley Gordon, at about 7 a.m. The body will be examined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
