TURNER — The State Fire Marshal’s Office says one man has died in a house fire early Saturday morning in Turner.
John Jordan, 69, was found in the rubble of his burned-down home, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
The fire was reported around 2 a.m. on Jordan Lane, near Hannaford supermarket.
The two-story house was a total loss. Fire investigators will attempt to determine the cause of the fire.
Jordan’s two dogs also perished in the fire, according to his daughter.
