LEWISTON — The Lewiston Farmers Market at Bates Mill 5 will open for the season at Sunday, May 21.

It will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays through mid-October at the municipal parking lot on the corner of Lincoln and Main Street.

Opening day will feature family friendly-activities, live music and a raffle filled with market goodies.

Visitors to the market can expect to shop with more than 20 new and returning vendors. This year the market will host local food trucks selling prepared foods.

Market customers can purchase goods using cash, credit, debit, SNAP and WIC. Loyal customers will have the opportunity to receive a gift certificate after five visits to the market with the Market Rewards Program. Seniors 62 and older will receive a gift certificate to the market on the first Sunday of the month with the Seniors Day program.
