Locomotive Monson No. 3 returned to the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes RR Museum in Phillips on May 24. The two-foot gauge locomotive, on lease from the Maine Narrow Gauge RR, is a 1913 Forney type 0-4-4T, built by Vulcan Locomotive Works, and it weighs 18 tons. The SRRL fired it up as they began their passenger excursion season on May 27.
