My son and I were forced to go without insurance for a year due to policies supported by Rep. Bruce Poliquin. Fortunately, my son remained in good health, but I was not so lucky. I had a tooth with a cavity that got infected and had to miss days of work due to pain. That tooth remains in my mouth today.

If Medicaid expansion had been enacted here in Maine, as it was proposed in the original Affordable Care Act, I would have had coverage. I am deeply disappointed in Poliquin.

When Mainers voted overwhelmingly to expand Medicaid, they proved that they care about their friends and neighbors and want to ensure they have health care. But it seems like Rep. Poliquin hasn’t gotten the message, since he voted to repeal the ACA and continues to vote against the interests of low-income Mainers.
